The measure was initially implemented on April 24 in response to escalating tensions following the Pahalgam attack in Indian-administered Kashmir, which India attributed to Pakistan—a claim Islamabad has denied. Although a ceasefire was brokered earlier in May, the airspace closure remains in effect as part of Pakistan’s retaliatory actions against India’s measures during the crisis .
