IHC Criticizes CDA Over Neglect of Licensed Pushcart Vendors’ Space Allocation

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) strongly rebuked the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for failing to allocate designated spaces for licensed pushcart vendors. The court noted that despite clear directions, the CDA had not taken effective steps to accommodate these vendors, who often face harassment and eviction. Justice Athar Minallah emphasized that the livelihoods of the poor must be protected and criticized the CDA for its negligence and lack of a structured plan.
