Shandur Polo Festival Kicks Off Today Amid Festivities

The iconic Shandur Polo Festival begins today at the world’s highest polo ground in Gilgit-Baltistan, attracting tourists and polo enthusiasts from across the country and abroad. The three-day event features traditional freestyle polo matches between teams from Gilgit and Chitral, along with cultural performances, music, and local cuisine. Organised by the GB government and Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, the festival aims to promote tourism and preserve regional heritage in the scenic Shandur Pass.
