Humaira Asghar Ali, a 32-year-old Pakistani actor and model, was found deceased in her Karachi flat in DHA Phase-VI during a court-ordered eviction for unpaid rent. According to police, her body was in an advanced state of decomposition—possibly eight to ten months old—discovered when bailiffs broke in upon noticing a foul smell.
Her brother, Naveed Asghar, traveled from Lahore and met with South DIG Syed Asad Raza. He intends to take her remains back to Lahore for burial after all legal formalities are complete.
Earlier, her father, Dr Asghar Ali, reportedly refused to claim her body—stating that the family had severed ties—and directed authorities to dispose of it as they saw fit.With no immediate family willing to step forward, the Sindh culture department, backed by stories from artists, had offered to ensure a dignified burial.
