India Begins Relocation of Students to Safer Areas in Iran Amid Israeli Strikes

India’s embassy in Tehran is actively helping move some Indian students—and wider Indian nationals—to safer regions within Iran amid continued Israeli airstrikes on cities including Tehran, Qom, and Shiraz. The airspace over Iran has been closed, prompting the shift to ground evacuations and exploring overland routes through Iran’s land borders  .The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that students are being relocated and that “other feasible options are also under examination”. With more than 10,000 Indians in Iran—over 2,000 of them students—the embassy remains in close contact with them and their families during this escalating regional crisis
