Lead Doctor to Plead Guilty in Ketamine‑Related Death of Matthew Perry

Jarida Report

Dr. Salvador Plasencia, the primary physician charged in connection with Friends star Matthew Perry’s October 2023 overdose death, has agreed to plead guilty to four counts of illegal ketamine distribution under a federal plea deal  . Prosecutors say Plasencia supplied Perry with 20 vials of ketamine, lozenges, syringes, and even administered some doses himself. Text messages revealed he called Perry a “moron” and charged inflated prices. He faces up to 40 years in prison  . Other co‑defendants, including another doctor and Perry’s assistant, have also pleaded guilty; one dealer remains set for trial in August 2025
