On July 4, 2025, Pakistan’s Supreme Court rolled out an e-filing system in all its registries—Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, and Quetta—allowing legal filings to be submitted digitally alongside traditional paper documents .
Digital petitions, memos, judgments, and orders are uploaded to the Court’s Case Management System (CMS), which then emails the documents to relevant parties; documents are also accessible via the Supreme Court’s online Case Search facility . The move aims to reduce paper use, save time and costs, and requires advocates to register their contact details for seamless integration .
