Trump Signs Partial UK-US Trade Deal, Tariffs on UK Cars Reduced But Steel Left Out

Jarida Report

President Donald Trump has approved a partial trade deal with the UK, reducing tariffs on British car exports to the U.S. The agreement, finalized after weeks of negotiations, follows earlier U.S. tariff hikes aimed at promoting American goods. While UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer hailed the move at the G7 summit as a significant step, concerns remain, as the pact still imposes a 10% levy on most UK goods and excludes the removal of tariffs on steel imports. The deal marks the first such announcement since Trump introduced broad trade barriers earlier this year.
